Wichita Falls, Texas – On July 21, Pathway Family Services (PFS), an agency of TFI, celebrated the opening of the new Blue Skies Residential Treatment Facility by hosting an Open House and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony.

The Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce, Rep. James Frank, project construction partners and
community stakeholders joined PFS for this commemorative event.

Blue Skies Residential Facility, which has been under renovation for the past year, will soon begin serving high-needs youth in out-of-home care in DFPS Region 2. At any given time, Blue Skies Residential Facility will serve up to 26 youth. Additionally, this new facility will also deliver many great high-level career opportunities to the Wichita Falls area. PFS anticipates employing approx. 35 staff at this facility.

“Today was such a monumental and exciting day,” said PFS Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shirley Dwyer. “It was the culmination of so much hard work to bring this much-needed resource to the Texoma area. We are so grateful to all the partners who worked alongside us on this project. Their generosity does not go unnoticed and is so appreciated.”

“We cannot wait to officially open our doors and begin to provide guidance and support to vulnerable kids in need,” said Blue Skies Facility Administrator Ryan Lynn. “Today was a great event to celebrate just that, helping kids.”
