This year marked the third annual Halloween Bash for Pathway Family Services (PFS). On Oct. 19, residents enjoyed food, games and music to celebrate the holiday.

The event was planned and set into motion by the PFS Holiday Planning Committee, which has staff from different departments such as Case Coordination, Nursing, Admin, Clinical and Programming. The committee decorated the gym with lights, spiderwebs, etc., and even set up a festive photo booth.

The Holiday Planning Committee plans several events throughout the year for residents, including the Halloween Bash, Annual Family Fun Day, Kohl’s Christmas Shopping, Breakfast with Santa and Santa’s Workshop.

“It is truly a privilege to be able to serve as co-chair of the Holiday Planning Committee here at PFS,” said Jesse Hernandez, PFS Residential Supervisor. “We can give our kids a sense of normalcy and provide them with events during each holiday that are safe, fun and connections-based. We are using our imagination, networking, and at times, reaching out to those in our community to come together for our youth. My favorite event to plan is our annual Family Fun Day, where our children get to spend time with a family member, guardian, or staff during a themed day of fun activities. These great events are truly geared toward our mission of being devoted to the strength of family!”
