In honor of recognizing September as Child Welfare Workforce Month, Blue Skies Residential Treatment Facility is proud to spotlight some of our exceptional team members who embody our core values of integrity, child safety, leadership, quality, family and acceptance. Our dedicated staff continue to build lasting connections with the children they serve, helping each child find their path to growth and stability and ensuring that there is truly someone for everyone at our facility

Blue Skies, a program of Pathway Family Services, offers trauma-informed mental health care for children and youth aged 6-17, providing both short-term crisis intervention and long-term intensive treatment. Our 24/7 services are delivered through a residential treatment center capable of caring for 26 children simultaneously, all recovering from various forms of abuse and trauma.

**Autumn Kreisler: Champion of Growth and Patience**

Autumn, one of our remarkable Youth Care Workers, finds immense joy in witnessing the children’s progress in our care. Stories of significant behavioral transformations particularly move her. When children leave Blue Skies with a different attitude and better outlook on life is what motivates Autumn.

Autumn credits these changes to her patient approach, stating, “My hope is that each child gets what they want as long as it’s safe. Whether that be adoption or reunification.” She emphasizes the importance of building bonds with the children and advises those in the field to always be patient and put themselves in the child’s shoes.

**Charlee Campos: A Ray of Sunshine and Trust Builder**

Charlee, another dedicated Youth Care Worker at Blue Skies, is known for her infectious positive energy. She believes that starting the day with a smile can make a significant impact on a child’s day. “Building trust changes everything!” Charlee exclaims. Her focus on relationship-building is key to her success in teaching the children healthy coping mechanisms, and she finds it immensely rewarding to see them apply these skills in difficult situations.

Charlee emphasizes the importance of being in the moment with the kids, ensuring that each child feels seen and supported.

As we celebrate Child Welfare Workforce Month, we are reminded of the incredible impact that our staff have on the lives of the children in our care, each in their own, unique way. Their dedication, patience and positive influence are the heart of Blue Skies, and we are honored to have them on our team.
